MADISON PD EXECUTED A BLACK MAN on July 22nd

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, MADISON, WI POLICE EXECUTED A BLACK MAN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION.

People who witnessed his murder described him being tackled off his bike by the cops, tased multiple times, and then shot in the three times head by an officer standing just feet above his head. The police are painting this as a ‘struggle’ and his killing the inevitable outcome. Videos prove otherwise–that this was brazen murder. Corey was clearly already incapacitated and on the ground when the pig who killed him took out his gun and pulled the trigger. Officers went so far as to handcuff his clearly dead body after killing him, long before scrambling to provide their so-called “life saving medical aid”.

In the hours since, the Madison police chief has gone through the usual motions of pretending to care about ‘transparency’, offering condolences to the family, even saying that ‘we [the people and the police??] are navigating this trauma together’. He likely wouldn’t sound so apologetic if he and his department weren’t so terrified of the righteous anger that could be unleashed in Madison and across the country in the days to come.

People are starting to take the streets in Madison to demand justice. We need to be clear: the only real justice for Corey is to charge his killer with murder and throw him in prison. The only place for killer cops like these is behind bars.

No bullshit administrative leave, no empty ‘transparency and accountability’. So long as killer cops get away with murder, they will continue to brutalize and kill our people with impunity. This justice won’t come from marches downtown that condemn the brutality but refuse to confront these killers head on. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that rebellion is what got Derek Chauvin convicted and locked up. Not peaceful protests, a lawsuit, reforms, or the empty words of politicians.

To go beyond locking up just one or two killer cops, we need a mass movement against the whole system that allows these killings to continue. We need people in Madison and across this country to take it directly to the police precincts that harbor these murderers. As Charlotta, the partner of Timothy Glaze, says: We need a George Floyd movement. We need people out in the streets every time the pigs steal our loved ones’ lives and try to justify their murders.
